Santa on the Beach is Back!!!!
2nd Annual SANTA ON THE BEACH is NOVEMBER 12!!!
It’s that time again! I am so excited to announce that the Images by Valerie’s 2nd Annual Santa on the Beach schedule is open! For those of you that haven’t heard about Santa on the Beach, I created this event during the Covid lockdown. As a creative, I was bursting at the seams to do it and last November it finally happened!!! This event was so much fun that it is now an annual event as I was hoping it to be.
Charity Partnership
Even better this year, I connected with The Unity Shoppe so a portion of the proceeds of sales will be donated each year to The Unity Shoppe. This charity means so much to me and I have been involved in some way since I was a little girl. Now that I have a daughter, I have made it a family tradition that we even go to the Unity Store each pick out people to be Secret Santa for so we can teach my daughter the true meaning of Christmas is giving and taking care of those in our community before the season even begins. Each year she is excited for the giving tree to be ready for us. This makes partnering with Unity Shop so meaningful to me and the perfect partner in my mind for Santa on the Beach.
Not Your Everyday Visit with Santa
I have photographed kids with Santa. I have taken my own daughter to see Santa, and before she was ready we spent a couple years doing flybys with Santa to avoid the trauma that you see in many pictures. Being a photographer I have taken the sweet Santa pictures and the screaming baby Santa pictures. I wanted this event to be different than those that everyone gets with sitting on Santa’s lap in the mall. We have the beach, I provide snow and we have Santa and with that trifecta, we have the opportunity to let children play in the sand or be mesmerized while in mom’s arms and Santa is more than happy to come in to just photo bomb for a gentler 1st or 2nd experience with Santa if preferred. We had so much fun last year with the variety of interactions, playfullness of both the children, families and Santa, the laughter and smiles were nonstop
Santa for Everyone
Last year we had such a variety of families. Santa was able to cuddle with infant twins and get awesome Santa Barbara coastal images at the same time, he was hearing lists and dancing, playing hide and seek with littles as well as taking family pictures with teens. There was something for everyone!
Every Session is an Experience
As a photographer I pride myself in creating memorable experiences. These limited sessions create images for amazing portraits of area families that are a fresh current twist on traditional portraits with Santa. Those participating are able to experience the traditional Santa experience mixed with Santa Barbara landscapes and a little winter wonderland we here in Santa Barbara don’t see which mesmerizes the littles, parents and the crowds that we saw gather.
