My ego has been bruised many times from kicking myself for not speaking up at the right time. The good news is, I’ve learned a thing or two that I hope you find encouraging. Here’s three lessons I’ve learned from not speaking up: 1. Not speaking up can cause missed opportunities. 2. Someone will benefit from your story. 3. Speaking up empowers someone else to do the same. Your experience is needed and your words don’t need to be perfect, so, the next time you find yourself in a similar situation, know that what you have to say matters, and you deserve to be heard.
