A little Friday reminder… 🩵

You don’t have to have everything figured out to be proud of yourself.

Maybe you’re trying something new, finding your way back to something you love, or simply getting through a busy week while showing up for everyone around you.

Whatever this season looks like, don’t forget to give yourself a little credit.

You are allowed to celebrate the progress nobody else sees, the things you’ve overcome, and the person you’re becoming.

And if you haven’t heard it lately, I’m proud of you for continuing to show up. 🩵

What if we spent a little less time worrying about whether our children fit in and a little more time celebrating who they already are?

The silly ones. The quiet ones. The big dreamers. The ones who ask a million questions or march to the beat of their own drum.

They don’t need to be more like someone else. They deserve to be celebrated for being themselves.

That’s the heart behind my Simply Me project, now including Kids & Pets. It’s about capturing personality, connection, and the little things that make each child — and each animal — wonderfully unique.

You know the one!

The mischievous smile. The twinkle in his eyes. The personality that comes through before he even says a word.

Our children don’t have to fit a mold, follow someone else’s path, or be anything other than who they are.

Some are little comedians. Some are deep thinkers. Some are adventurers, big dreamers, or wonderfully unpredictable combinations of all of the above.

And that’s the beauty of it. ✨

That’s what I love about my Simply Me portraits. It’s not about being perfect or knowing how to pose. It’s about celebrating the person in front of my camera — exactly as they are, right now.

This year, Simply Me is expanding to include Kids & Pets, celebrating the personalities, connections, and special bonds that make our families unique.

Because the world doesn’t need another copy of someone else. It needs them.

The one juggling work, family, appointments, schedules, a never ending to-do list, and about seventeen things nobody else even knows need doing.

Here’s your little Monday reminder:

You’re doing better than you think.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to make everyone happy. And you don’t have to earn your worth by how much you accomplish in a day.

You are allowed to be a work in progress and still be proud of the woman you’re becoming.

So take a breath. Give yourself a little grace. And don’t forget to celebrate the person you are while you’re busy taking care of everyone else.

Because you, too, deserve some of that kindness you give so freely. 💙
