How is everyone doing?

The graduations have been celebrated.
The promotions have happened.
The school year has wrapped up.
Summer has officially arrived.

For our family, we also celebrated our anniversary yesterday and hosted a birthday party the day before, which had me reflecting on just how quickly seasons change.

So today I’m checking in with you:

Are you finally exhaling after a busy spring?
Or are you taking a deep breath before beginning something new?

Sometimes growth looks like charging ahead.
Sometimes growth looks like slowing down long enough to appreciate how far you’ve come.

Sometimes the motivation we need doesn’t come from a quote, a podcast or a perfectly planned morning.

Sometimes it comes from her.

The friend who knows who you were, who you are and who you’re trying so hard to become.

The one who can make you laugh when you want to cry.
The one who gently pushes your buttons because she believes in you.
The one who supports you, checks on you and hugs you when you finally take that deep breath you didn’t realize you were holding.

We need those people.

Every day. Every week. In the messy seasons, the growing seasons, the joyful seasons and the “I’m just trying to get through today” seasons.

So today, reach out to your person.

Your ride-or-die.
Your encourager.
Your safe place.
Your “I see you” friend.

Tell her you love her. Tell her you’re thankful for her. Tell her she matters.

Because sometimes being seen by the right person is exactly what keeps us moving forward. ✨

The summer nobody gets back is the one we’re livin

The summer nobody gets back is the one we’re living right now.

The missing tooth.
The freckles.
The wild curls.
The serious little thinker face.
The dog who follows the kids everywhere.
The pet who somehow becomes part of every family memory.

That’s what Simply Me is all about.

Simple portraits of kids and pets that celebrate who they are in this exact season, before it quietly changes.

Not perfect.
Not overdone.
Just their personality, their sweetness, their silliness and the little details you never want to forget.

Because whether they have two legs or four, the ones we love deserve to be remembered beautifully.
